Hi I’m (NAME) and I’m a constituent of Senator (SENATOR NAME) in the state of (STATE). I am contacting you to say that I am concerned about the impacts of the SBIR lapse in funding. This program funds innovative research that saves lives, and every day it it was not authorized is another day a business developing life saving treatments is closer to ending. Small businesses are an important aspect of the United States economy, generating revenue and creating jobs, and we need to ensure they are adequately funded and provided with funding to continue their important work. Please take every action possible to address the harmful impacts of the lapse in authorization so that America can retain its position as a leader in scientific innovation, and prevent critical businesses from closing.
