FUN and 27 UNIHTED Food Drive

The Peoples Pantry! October 30th, Federal Unionists Network DMV Hub, 27 UNIHTED Food Drive: Come join us this Thursday from 3:00PM - 5:00PM at the USDA HQ! The People's Pantry is a furloughed and fired fed worker-led food distribution initiative organized by the DMV Federal Unionists Network, and sponsors include 27 UNIHTED, Indivisible, 50501 DC, and Free DC. Fed workers are supporting this in their personal capacity. As the Trump Administration blocks emergency SNAP funds and dismantles public services, federal workers are living their oath to serve - by feeding the families and neighbors that this Administration has abandoned. Please share with your friends and colleagues!

FedsForward Workshop

FedsForward Workshop

October 17th at 12:00PM EDT 27 UNIHTED will be hosting a job search workshop with FedsForward.

If you've been applying to lots of jobs without getting interviews, this workshop offers a different approach.

We'll walk through how to use the FedsForward platform to:

- Figure out what kind of work you actually want to target

- Understand how your federal skills translate to different roles

- Focus your job search instead of applying everywhere

- Match your background to specific opportunities

The main idea is simple: applying to fewer, more targeted positions where you're genuinely interested tends to work better than sending out hundreds of applications. We'll look at how to get clear on what you're looking for and how to go after it.

This is a practical session focused on job searching strategies, not general career advice or resume tips.
