The Human Impact of NIH Cuts & Delays: Bringing Hidden Consequences to Light

Storytelling is a powerful tool to communicate personal experiences to large groups of people. This page is dedicated to highlighting the stories of individuals, anonymously or named, with grant award terminations, funding delays, forced withdrawals, reinstatements, and withdrawn competing applications.

Also welcome are firsthand accounts of consequences due to delayed grant awards such as the firing of research staff including trainees, delayed or halted clinical trials (patients, we would love to hear from you!), hiring freezes, negative effects on experimental studies, etc.

History must be recorded and others need to learn about the devastating harms the health research communities are currently experiencing - the great loss of discovery and innovation, treatments and cures. We hope the impacts of these stories will reach the hearts of all those who read them.
