Tell us about your business.
“I provide resume writing and career coaching for current and former feds and contractors. I help clients move from floundering and applying to everything to creating a clear, strategic plan that positions them for the right roles and the right offers. Through storytelling, strategy, and step-by-step guidance, I help them land their next role and start their next chapter with confidence.”
What inspired you to start your business?
“I’m a born storyteller who's always been passionate about helping people take charge of their story and their future. My first client was my sister: underpaid and overworked in a job that had worn down her confidence. She's a powerhouse, but her resume didn’t reflect it, so we rewrote it, crafted clear interview messaging, and built a strong negotiation strategy. She landed a new job with a higher title and salary, and got $10K over the initial offer. I was hooked. I started my business on the side, but when I saw my federal peers overwhelmed and unsure how to tell their stories during RIFs and transitions, I went all in. Now I help feds and contractors translate their experience into private-sector-ready stories, through resumes, LinkedIn, and interviews, so they can move forward with clarity and intentionality. ‘If you want to be confident in your story, first you have to be competent in your story.’ My mission is to help feds step into their next chapter on their own terms.”
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background.
“I’m a neuroscientist and former science communicator at NIH, and I’ve always been passionate about helping people tell their own stories. Storytelling has been a constant thread in my life, from translating complex science for the public to writing and performing live stories from my own life. I believe stories connect, inspire, and help us see what’s possible for ourselves. When I’m not working, you’ll find me singing karaoke, sewing historical costumes, or relaxing with my partner and our two cats.”
What was your role at NIH?
“5 years as a Science Education and Outreach Lead at NINDS.”
How has your NIH experience influenced your business journey?
“At NIH, I connected science with people, lifting the veil on the ‘black box’ of the federal biomedical enterprise. As a science communicator, I translated complex ideas into clear, actionable information. That same skill now drives my career coaching: helping federal professionals connect their experience to new opportunities, and giving them the knowledge, tools, and confidence to reach their goals and build the life they want.”
What is something you're proud of or excited about right now?
“Since March 2025, I've helped more than 350 feds and contractors through resume reviews, comprehensive resume rewrites, LinkedIn makeovers, and career coaching. Nothing beats the moment a client emails to say, ‘I got the job!’ This fall, I'm launching a group coaching program so I can help even more people get unstuck, take control of their search, and step into work they love.”
“I love the fed community and it is truly an honor to help people during such a difficult time.”
