Tell Us A Little About Your Business:

AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude are becoming part of everyday business, but many professionals feel unsure where to start — or whether they should start at all. We’ve all been handed the tools without an instruction manual. I work with individuals and small teams to help them understand where AI can support their existing work, where it can’t, and how to experiment with these tools safely and responsibly. I’m here for people who want to become AI-ready, not necessarily an AI expert.

What inspired you to start your business?

I wanted to bring my background as a writer and leader to help people learn how to use AI effectively and responsibly in communication. There are many professionals out there who feel behind because they don't know how to use AI, or they're feeling pressure from their organization to incorporate AI but have no idea where to start. I want to give non-technical folks a starting point with AI in a way that’s practical and nonjudgmental.

What was your role at NIH?

Over my career at NIH, I worked with NCI, NLM, and NIA as a writer, editor, and communications leader.

How has your NIH experience influenced your business journey?

Many years creating clear, accurate, and understandable health information at NIH has drilled into me the importance of effective writing. It educates and connects people and helps them make informed decisions. Now we have incredibly powerful new tools to help us communicate. It's amazing how quickly AI can help with tasks like background research, outlining, and editing, which used to take me HOURS. But without some training and guidance, it's easy to create generic-sounding writing ("AI slop") or even spread misinformation. I bring the values I learned at NIH — service, accountability, and respect for audiences — to help people navigate this new world of AI.

What is something you’re proud of or excited about right now?

I'm excited that I recently launched both a biweekly newsletter and a blog to share helpful tips and insights about using AI effectively and responsibly in everyday work.
